15.5: Interlude 15: Prolationem

Words express what the one saying or writing them intends, but sometimes the intended message can be lost within the mind’s translation.

The Quite:

"Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance." – Confucius

My Thoughts:

Why do I feel that this is something you say to someone who does not know what they are talking about? I might have just spoken volumes about my current state of mind, but that is another topic.

There is a defined line between what you know and what you do not, but there are times when this line is blurred. Everyone has had that moment when a topic outside of what you know pops up. When this happens, people tend to express a quickly formed opinion instead of admitting to not knowing anything about the topic.

The people who are open to gaining knowledge that is beyond a swiftly derived conclusion are the ones who are brave enough to say that they do not know, those are the ones who understand real knowledge because they are willing to learn. Until next time, I am Nolan… Ex Tenebris.
